Hollywood's older neighborhoods around the Lakes and the beach are full of 1950s block homes with tile roofs, and a good many of them have never been cleaned. That heavy black streaking is the roof algae that insurers are now flagging on aerial photos — a clean roof heads off a non-renewal letter. West Hollywood and the newer areas near Pembroke are more shingle and more HOA-driven, with boards wanting driveways and sidewalks done across the whole community at once. We work with several of those associations on a recurring basis.
